The Jill Roberts Center for Inflammatory Bowel Disease (JRC) recognizes that nutrition plays an important role in maintaining a healthy gastrointestinal tract. We are proud to work with Registered Dietitian Nutritionist, Colleen D. Webb, M.S., R.D.N., C.D.N., who specializes in providing relevant, evidence- and practice-based nutrition education and recommendations for patients with a variety of gastrointestinal conditions including, but not limited to, Crohn’s disease, ulcerative colitis, irritable bowel syndrome, small intestinal bacterial overgrowth, diverticulosis, diverticulitis, constipation and diarrhea.
Colleen holds a Master of Science degree in Clinical Nutrition and Dietetics from New York University, and a Bachelor of Arts degree from the University of Florida where she graduated summa cum laude. She is a graduate of the James J. Peters Bronx Veterans Affairs Medical Center Dietetic Internship Program. Colleen is an active member of the Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics and serves on the Chapter Medical Advisory Committee for the Crohn’s and Colitis Foundation of America. She frequently lectures on the role of nutrition in managing symptoms of IBD at local support groups, conferences and seminars in the New York City area.
Colleen has established a nutrition education program for first-year medical students at Weill Cornell Medical College and a mentorship program for future nutrition professionals.
