JRC Director, Ellen J. Scherl, M.D., spoke at an ACG-endorsed course on inflammatory bowel disease (IBD) at Baylor University Medical Center in April. The conference focused on recent advances in IBD management, intervention, therapy and research. Dr. Scherl addressed the management of patients with severe ulcerative colitis in a lecture entitled “Severe Ulcerative Colitis: Identifying the High Risk Patient and Avoiding Colectomy”.
